You have the option to attend your appointments in person or, if you prefer, via video conferencing.
You do not need a doctor’s referral to see a psychologist at Ramsay Psychology. However, if you have been referred by your GP with a Mental Health Care Plan, you will be able to claim a Medicare rebate which will cover part of the cost for 10 sessions in a calendar year. A gap fee will also be payable by you as an out-of-pocket cost.
If you do not already have a Mental Health Care Plan and you wish to access this rebate, you can make an appointment with your GP or psychiatrist.
If you don’t have access to a Mental Health Care Plan, you will need to pay for your sessions as a self-funded patient. This means you will need to pay the full amount of each session.
If you hold private health insurance extras/ancillary insurance, you may be eligible for a partial refund of the session amount depending on your level of private health fund cover. Speak to your health insurer to find out about your cover.
To learn about the fees for your specific treatment, just ask one of our team members.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment time, please contact us prior to your scheduled session. A cancellation fee may apply if sufficient notice is not provided in accordance with the Cancellation Policy. If you have any questions or concerns, just give us a call on 1300 171 715.
